Lake Oswego DUII and Lake Oswego Municipal Court Information

I just got arrested for an DUII charge in Lake Oswego.  What happens now?

If you were arrested in Lake Oswego you were either given a citation to appear in the Lake Oswego Municipal Court or booked into the Clackamas County Jail.  If you were booked into jail you most likely were given a release agreement directing you to appear in court at a future date. Read this document carefully it will tell you when and where to appear for court.

You must attend your court appearance or a bench warrant will be issued for your arrest. 

Where am I supposed to appear for court?

Read your paperwork.  Either your citation or your release agreement will tell you where to appear for your first court date.  If you were arrested in the City of Lake Oswego, your first court appearance is likely at the Lake Oswego Municipal Court (380 A Avenue Lake Oswego, Oregon).  This also the location of Lake Oswego City Hall and the Lake Oswego Police Department.  There is one courtroom in the building.  It is on the first floor of the building.

Some first appearances are in Clackamas County Circuit Court at 807 Main Street in Oregon City.

You must attend your court appearance or a bench warrant will be issued for your arrest.  In Lake Oswego, if you hire an attorney before your initial court appearance (arraignment), you may be able to absent yourself from this first appearance.  Speak to an attorney for more information.

Remember to show up on time.  Check in at the window before entering the courtroom.  If you fail to check in, your case may not be called. 

Will all my court appearances be held in this building.

Yes.  Lake Oswego Municipal Court only has one courtroom and all Municipal Court proceedings are held there.  Court in Lake Oswego typically happens on Wednesday afternoons.
