Troutdale DUII and Multnomah County Court Information

I just got arrested for an DUII charge in Troutdale, Oregon.  What happens now?

If you were arrested in the city limits of Troutdale, Oregon you were likely either given a citation to appear in Troutdale Municipal Court or booked into the Multnomah County Jail.  If you were booked into jail you most likely were given a release agreement directing you to appear in court at some date in the future. 

If you were arrested for a felony DUII or other serious charge you may be held in custody at least through your first court appearance (and perhaps longer).  Troutdale Municipal Court does not handle felony offense.  These crimes would be prosecuted in Multnomah County Circuit Court.

You must attend your court appearance or a bench warrant will be issued for your arrest.  In Troutdale Municipal Court if you hire an attorney before your initial court appearance (arraignment) you may be able to absent yourself from this appearance.  Speak to an attorney for more information.

Where am I supposed to appear for court?

Read your paperwork.  Either your citation or your release agreement will tell you where to appear for your first court date.  Most Troutdale DUII arraignments are held at the Troutdale Municipal Court (234 SW Kendall Court in Troutdale, Oregon 97060). 

Court is held the 2^nd and 4^th Wednesday of every month.

• Traffic Arraignments start at 10 a.m.
• Hearings start at 10:30 a.m.
• Criminal Arraignments start at 1:30 p.m.
• Bench Trials start at 1:30 p.m.

Court is held in the Kellogg Community Room, which is located within the Troutdale Police Community Center

Will all my court appearances be held in this building?

Yes.  Troutdale Municipal Court only has one courtroom and all proceedings are held there.

Are there any sentencing options that are unique to Troutdale?

Sometimes.  Speak with your attorney for more information about your options.

Keep in mind that DUII is a state crime.  While each court treats these charges in their own way, the DUII statutes and mandatory penalties such as license suspensions are the same statewide. 

What if I'm arrested in Corbett / Fairview etc.?

Troutdale Municipal Court only has jurisdiction over misdemeanor crimes that happen in the Troutdale city limits.  If you're arrested outside of Troutdale, you'll likely have your court appearances at the Multnomah County Circuit Court.
